A little about myself

Hi guys, I’m Jessica.

Im so honored you stopped by my blog. I am amateur at all this stuff but you always have to start somewhere when you have a dream of doing something. let me start by saying I am a child of God, without him nothing is possible. I try to read the Bible everyday. He wakes me up every morning so why not give him 20 min of the day for just him.

Im currently a college student at Amarillo College and planning on transferring to West Texas A&M University to major in accounting. Its just something about numbers that truly fascinate me. I thinking working at a feedyard as a executive assistant has really helped me find a career I’m interested in persuing.

I also work a cosmetologist at a local boutique that goes by the name Virtues boutique. I’ve been in the beauty industry for 10 years. Wow does time fly by. Being in the industry has really changed my views not only in beauty but also in fashion and interior decorating. I really into enjoy putting pieces of clothing together and making a fashion statement. just something about a woman that’s dressed her best, just seems like she has it all together in life. but trust me 90% of the time all I have is jeans and a t-shirt.

but trust me, fashion is just a beautiful thing and I enjoy everything about it.. this is why I have started this page, to inspired other with beauty and fashion and knowing you don’t always have to spend lots of money to look and feel your best. thank you for taking your time on my blog and I hope you continue to follow my journey.

Self Care.

The word self care has be thrown around a lot lately especially during this pandemic but What does the phrase even mean? For me it can mean so many things, but the most important thing I’ve taken from this is putting myself first. My mental and physical health is more important than killing myself to do someone’s hair because they need to have their hair done that day.

I have really slowed down on business or more like spread out my appointments. I remember before all this started I would go a whole day without eating (even sometimes without ever going to the restroom) My weight would be all over the place, I would weigh 125 one week then the next I would weight 109, I don’t know about you but that can’t be healthy for anyone at any weight. So having one client at a Rome gave me the opportunity to be able to take a break or even have a lunch hour. You have no idea how important it is to have your 3 meals a day. Diabetes runs deep in my family and skipping meals like I did before can really trigger my sugar levels and cause me to be a diabetic and I pray everyday I never have to experience that awful disease. People you really need to eat and be healthy, I feel for anyone who has the awful disease. So please eat your 3 meals, eat Healthy, and exercise!!!!!

Exercising daily has also become a big part of my self-care routine. Trust me I’m an amateur when it comes to working out but I’m getting the work done. I’ve discovered so many wonderful virtual trainers on Youtube. Thank Goodness for youtube. Vicky Justiz is one of my favorite Influencers on Exercising. She mostly focuses on legs but I need all the help with my chicken legs. She also has an amazing performance line With Women’s Best. it amazing And so delicious. Excersizing daily has helped with so much with my anxiety.

I have suffered from a nxiety for about 12 years now and let me tell you its the worst feeling ever, I HATE IT!!! It is the most awful feeling, like my whole world is coming crashing down and there is nothing is can do to save it but I have to have faith that the Good Lord has it all under control. Iam not in control of anything, he is. you are not first, he is. You have to just pray and have faith that everything will be just fine. He will not put you through something that you cannot handle.

this for me is what self-care and there’s so many other forms of self-care. Just remember there’s only one of you, so take care of her.
